Stories have shaped our world for millennia. Whether you've taken the wardrobe to Narnia or fought Achilles at the walls of Troy, the art of storytelling has remained one of the best ways to unite us.

So, to give you some inspiration for filling your new journal, we've included an excerpt from a folktale. When every part of a story is in circulation, the finished tale will be available to read on our website! You can find the number and chapter at the beginning of your story - for example, #1-01 is folktale 1, part 1.

A quick warning... A lot of folktales are not for the very small - give your tale a read before passing it on to the little ones.
